Changes to Anti-Money Laundering Laws: What Securinvest Clients Need to Know

From 1 July 2026, changes to Australia’s AML/CTF laws mean that certain services provided by accounting and professional services firms are now subject to additional regulatory requirements. The changes are designed to strengthen Australia’s response to money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crime.

As part of these changes, Securinvest may need to:

  • ask you to provide identification documents;
  • request additional information about you, an entity or a transaction; and
  • complete additional checks before certain services can be provided.

These requirements can apply to both new and existing clients, so you may notice some changes in the information we ask you to provide.

We appreciate this may feel unusual, particularly if you have been working with Securinvest for many years. Our requests for additional information don’t mean that we have concerns about you or your financial affairs. They help us meet our obligations under Australia’s AML/CTF laws.

Find out more about the changes, why we may ask for additional information and what they mean for Securinvest clients.
