Personal lending
When did your rate last get checked?
A rate review costs nothing. Sometimes the answer is a better deal from your current lender with no refinance at all. Sometimes moving saves serious money. Either way, you will know.
What you get
An honest answer first, then a better deal if there is one.
An honest answer first.
If staying put is your best option, we say so.
The lazy-rate fix.
Often we can apply to your current bank for a discount, with nothing for you to do.
Structure, not just rate.
Offsets, splits and loan structure can matter as much as the headline number.
The whole switch, handled.
If moving wins, we run the discharge, the application and the settlement chase.
Our process
Three steps, and you always know where you are.
We work the same way on every loan, so nothing gets lost and you are never left guessing. Here is what happens between the first conversation and settlement.
Tell us the goal
A quick conversation, then one link to send us your documents, with a clear list of exactly what we need.
Three options
We assess your position, check lender policy before anything is lodged so your credit file is protected, and present three clear options in plain English.
Lodged, chased, settled
We prepare the paperwork, update you at every stage, chase the lender so you do not have to, and stay contactable after settlement.
The cost of waiting
The most expensive rate is the one nobody checks.
We have seen borrowers sitting on rates well above the market simply because checking felt like hard work. The gap can be hundreds of dollars a month.
Our clients get rate reviews as part of the relationship: we watch the book and call when there is money on the table. If your broker has never called you about your rate, that is worth thinking about.
Common questions
Questions we get asked.
Sometimes no, and we will tell you that. When it is worth it, the saving usually dwarfs the effort, and the effort is mostly ours anyway.
Often, yes. We can see your current rate and balance in the lender systems and apply for a discount on your behalf.
Typically some discharge and government fees, occasionally break costs on fixed loans. We put the numbers in your options so the saving is judged after costs, not before. (General information only.)
Two to three months out is ideal. That gives time to compare, negotiate and switch before you roll onto a revert rate.
